Briton Ferry Llansawel gained an important away point in the Adran Under 19’s South as they drew 3-3 with Cardiff City at Ocean Park.

The Reds made a bright start to the game and took the game to the hosts. Catryn Edwards set up Gwen Strang to put the Reds ahead in the 7th minute. Mia Pritchard hit a stunning strike in the 33rd minute to put the Reds two. Cardiff showed why they top the table as they hit back straight away Chloe Newman with the goal. In first half added time the Bluebirds levelled though Brooke Arthur.
The second half saw both teams battle to gain the advantage. It was the Reds who struck first as Catryn Edwards put them back in front in the 68th minute. Cardiff searched for another leveller and got it in added time as sub Jaymie-Rose Powell scored to rescue a point for Cardiff.
The result keeps the Reds in fourth place in the table with 29 points. Cardiff remain top on 37 points.
Catryn Edwards latched on to a loose pass from the Cardiff defence and hit a shot on target but it was too close to the keeper.
Edwards then took the ball down the left and into the box before playing to Gwen Strang. Strang lifted the ball over the keeper and into the far post to give Ferry the lead.
Cardiff the applied some pressure to the Reds with a shot into the side netting and another from distance that went straight at Georgia Cobley.

The Reds then took a two goal lead when Mia Pritchard struck. Catryn Edwards held the ball up well under pressure on the edge of the box and then found Pritchard. She then sent a lob over the keeper from the edge of the box.
The host got on the scoresheet when Chole Newman was played in and she lifted the ball in.
Cardiff then pulled back level as they scored at the near post following a corner with Brooke Arthur getting the vital touch in first half added time.
Mia Pritchard sent a free kick into the box which was headed out for a corner. Matilda Matthews sent the corner into the box and Catryn Edwards was first to it to head home.

Cardiff looked for a way back into the game and Paige Parson sent a free kick into the side netting.
As the game went into added time Cardiff did get a third goal. Brooke Arthur sent a free kick into the box and Jaymie-Rose Powell turned in.
