After a break from fixtures over the last few weeks Briton Ferry will host second placed Cascade at Old Road.  The Reds will be looking to make it ten wins from ten as they look to finish the season unbeaten.

The sides have met twice this season once in the league and once in the Adran Trophy with the Reds winning both matches.  An Alison Witts hat trick helped Ferry to a 6-0 win in October at CCB Centre for Sporting Excellence.  Witts clearly enjoys scoring against Cascade as she hit another hat trick in the Reds 3-0 win in the Adran Trophy.

Cascade are unbeaten in their last four league matches with two wins and two draws in the Adran South.  Their last match saw them concede a late equaliser from Jade Crofts of Cwmbran Celtic forcing a 1-1 draw.  That result along with the Reds 2-0 win over Llanelli meant the Reds would be confirm as Champions.

Manager Rhys James wants his team to ensure that they remain focused on the game saying,

“I always really enjoy our encounters with Cascade and although we have come out on top over recent times, I know the threat they can cause if you allow them to show their quality.

“We've had lots of conversations with the team this week about remaining focused.

“We've got standards that we want to stick too, and I would be disappointed if that dropped because we have won the league early.

“The team showed their quality in a friendly against Pontypridd last weekend and I want us to perform at a similar level again this week.”

The manager also praised the team for winning back to back titles,

“It's a massive achievement for the team, the girls have been outstanding the whole season and I give them so much credit for that.

“They have only conceded one goal in the league in nine games, that takes extreme concentration over large periods so I'm real proud of them for that.

“I think our performances have certainly deserved the league title but as we have collectively agreed as a group, it's not over yet.

“We'll celebrate as we deserve too on Sunday lifting the trophy, but our focus goes straight back to the next game then.”
