This weekend we welcome The New Saints to Old Road for a Welsh Cup quarter final clash.
This will be the fourth meeting of the season between the sides after two league games and a Adran Trophy match. The Saints are ahead I the head to head this season with their 3-2 Adran Trophy semi final victory at Park Hall. Both league games have ended in draws 1-1 at Park Hall and a thrilling 2-2 at Old Road.

The New Saints come into this match on the back of lifting their first major Welsh Trophy as they beat Swansea City 3-1 to lift the Adran Trophy last week. The Saints capitalised on errors at the back from Swansea with Chantelle Teare and Lexi Jones putting them two ahead after 22 minutes. A Lauren Davies own goal put TNS three up before half time. Stacy John-Davis pulled a goal back for the Swans in the second half but the Saints held on to lift the trophy.
That win was the Saint first win in four games with one draw a two defeats. A 4-3 defeat to Cardiff City was followed by a draw at Old Road then a loss to Wrexham, Lili Mai Jones getting the only goal for Wrexham. The Saints are third in the Adran Premier table two points behind the Reds in second place.

The Reds are unbeaten since their Adran Trophy loss to The New Saints. A late penalty from Lucy Powell ensured a win over Cardiff Met and they followed that with a 1-0 win over Aberystwyth Town. Laura-May Walkley with another late winner for the Reds. The Ferry late show continued when they drew 2-2 with TNS as Meg Kearle’s 96th goal secured a point for the Reds who played a large part of the game with ten players. Their last match saw another draw as they played out a goalless draw with Swansea City.
