Briton Ferry Llansawel Women can confirm that Rhys James will return to the Women’s set-up as Interim Manager until the end of the season.
Rhys, who currently serves as the club’s Football Operations Manager, will also assume overall responsibility for the Women’s First Team and the Academy on an interim basis. This approach is intended to strengthen and align youth development with the senior programme.
He will be joined by Vincent (Vinny) Murray, as First Team Coach and Carwyn Wood who will assume the Assistant Manager responsibilities. The club can confirm that the remaining backroom staff will remain in place, providing continuity and stability within the performance environment.
In parallel, the club will begin a strategic review of its female provision, with the objective of establishing a clear and sustainable pathway from Academy Football to the Women’s First Team ahead of the 2026/27 season. Part of this process will be the key appointment of a New First Team Manager who will have the responsibility over long-term player development and ensure a quality pathway that produces the level of players to flourish within the senior programme, ensuring future success.
