Defeat for Reds against Aberystwyth
Briton Ferry Llansawel lost 3-2 to Aberystwyth Town t The Renewable Centre Stadium.
The Reds took an early lead though Jade Crofts who struck in the 7th minute. The Reds extended their lead on 19 minutes as Meg Kearle put them two up. The home side were pegged back before half time thanks to goals from Carys Bufton.
Bufton put Aber ahead in the 59th minute as Bufton got her hat trick. The Reds push to get into the game creating multiple chances. Georgia Howells hitting the bar late into the game. Despite pushing till the final whistle the visitors were able to hold on to the win.
Ferry are fifth in the table after todays results with nine points along with The New Saints, Swansea City and Aberystwyth Town.
An early Reds corner saw a chance for the Reds to open the scoring. Meg Kearle swung the ball into the box and Aber only cleared as far as Lucy Powell who shot wide.

The Reds took ana early lead with Jade Crofts fourth off the season. Ashley Griffiths won the won just past the half way line and run into the middle. She played a pass though to Laura-May Walkley-Witts whose deft flick went straight into the path of Crofts who duly finished.
Walkley-Witts won a free kick just to the right of the Aber box. Lucy Powell forced the keeper to turn over the bar.
Ferry then went two up thanks to a long distance effort from Meg Kearle. Kearle spotting the keeper off her line lifted the ball over her and despite getting a touch she could only push it to the underside of the bar.
A good move down the right from Ashley Griffiths and Meg Kearle allowed them to set Jade Crofts up for a shot that needed a strong hand to turn round the post.
Aber pulled a goal back as Cerys Bufton hit a shot past Young.
Crofts made another chance as she won the ball on the right. Crofts fired a shot across gaol that was saved by the keeper.
In first half added time Aber added a second in a goal month scramble Cerys Bufton scoring from close range.

The visitors came out in the second half clearly buoyed by their two late first half goals. They pushed forward and put the reds under pressure from the off.
Aber’s early pressure told in the 59th minute as Carys Bufton again turned in from close range from and Aber corner.
Ferry looked to get back in the game and Meg Kearle saw her shot blocked.
Lucy Powell sent a cross to the far post finding Meg Kearle. Kearle’s shot was blocked but the ball fell to Jade Crofts who saw her shot blocked on the line.

Laura-May Walkley-Witts then went over in the box with the Ferry supports screaming for a penalty the ref waved play on.
Walkley-Witts then won a free kick just inside the Aber half. Meg Kearle sent the free kick into the box which was cleared. The ball fell to Georgia Howells who forced a save from the keeper.
Meg Kearle sent a corner deep into the box but it was just over the head of Powell at the far post.
Lucy Powell hit a shot from the edge that was going wide but was touched by the keeper for corner. From the corner Meg Kearle had a shot but it was wide.
Ferry kept pushing and with time running out Georgia Howells hit a shot from distance that crashed off the bar.
