Cardiff City are the visitor’s to The Renewable Centre Stadium this Thursday as Briton Ferry Llansawel return to Adran Premier action.

Match Preview:

With several games called off due to weather over the last few weeks Rhys Thomas’ team will host second place Cardiff City.  The Bluebirds will be hoping to get a win that would send them back to the top of the table while a win for the Reds would see them move into fourth place moving above The New Saints. 


Cardiff have not lost since their opening day defeat to The New Saints winning eight and drawing two of their league matches.  Their last league match came on January 4th when Fiona Barry scored deep into added time to secure a 2-1 win over Wrexham.  An Erin Lovett own goal had but the Bluebirds ahead but Faye Hillier-Knox levelled for Wrexham.

Cardiff’s last match was a Welsh Cup game where they beat Trefelin 14-0.  Fiona Barry and Maddison Perrott both getting hat tricks in an emphatic win for the Cup holders.   


The Reds have seen multiple games over December and January fall victim to the weather across Wales.  The Reds last match came in the Bute Energy Welsh Cup on the 21st December.  Two goals from both Jade Crofts and Lauren Payne and one from Jess Denscombe giving Ferry a 5-0 win. 


The Reds last league game saw them beat Barry Town United 3-0 at The Renewable Centre Stadium.  Brooke Llewellyn, Lucy Powell and Jade Crofts with the goals. 


Ferry come into the game with just one defeat in seven games across all competitions. 


Stadium:

The Renewable Centre Stadium features Two Stands for seating.  The Old Road stand has low level seating close to the pitch while the Macron Stand has higher level seating offering great views of the pitch. 


There is a raised standing area next to the Macron Stand and standing is permitted behind the goal at the Bar Red end of the stadium.


There is an accessible seating area in the Old Road Stand for any supporters with mobility needs. 

The Stadium is dog friendly but we do ask that all dogs are kept on a lead and owners clean any mess made. 


Visiting supporters are welcome to use all areas of the stadium. 


Bar Red will be open pre and post game for hot and cold drinks and snacks.  Any alcoholic beverages  must be consumed in Bar Red and are not permitted in any other part of the Stadium.
