On the opening day of last season The Reds made the trip to Park Avenue for their first game back in the top flight.

Ferry had to defend and absorb large spells of pressure during the first half. Courtney Young making a vital early save from an Aber chance that may have changed the game had she not been able to turn it around the post. Lowri Ridings was needed to block another effort before Ela Roberts cleared.
Just past the hour mark and Ferry managed to take the lead. Jess Denscombe corner was headed against the bar by Alison Witts but Maia Owen was quickest to it to grab her first goal for The Reds. Alison Witts made it two curling a free kick around the wall and the keeper. Denscombe added a third with a curling effort and Fleur Jenkins add a fourth in added time.

Aber are currently in sixth place in the league just three points behind the Reds in fifth place. They have won four of their 11 matches so far this season including a 3-2 win over the Reds at The Renewable Centre Stadium. Despite having a two goal lead from Jade Crofts and Meg Kearle a Carys Bufton hat trick secured a win for Aber.
Aber have two wins from their last six games with wins over Pontypridd United in the Adran Premier and CPDM Y Felinheli in the Adran Trophy.

They lost their last league match 3-2 to leaders Wrexham in a thrilling match. Rosie Hughes giving Wrexham an early lead before two goals from Aber both from Amy Jenkins giving Aber the lead after 24 minutes. Mariam Mahmood levelled for Wrexham before half time and Rosie Hughes added her second in the 50th minute to secure the win for Wrexham.
Their last match came in the Adran Trophy as they drew 2-2 with Wrexham losing on penalties. Rosie Hughes again gave Wrexham the lead but Lily Moralee-Hughes levelled for Aber. Jodie Bartle put Wrexham back in front but Aber showed their fighting spirt by keeping going and levelled in the 7th minute of added time thanks to Millie Gardner. Wrexham would go on to win the shoot-out.
The Reds have won five of the last six meetings between the sides including a 4-0 win at Park Avenue on the opening day of last season.
With both teams looking to secure a vital three points as the Adran Premier approaches Phase two a thrilling game can be expected.
Stadium: Park Avenue
Park Avenue is the historic home of Aberystwyth Town and has been in use since 1907. The stadium has a 4G pitch.

The Stadium features both seating and standing areas for supporters. The Rhun Owens stand on the side of the pitch offers high level seating and is covered.
The Dias Stand sits behind one end of the pitch and features covered seating. To the left the Dias Stand is another seated stand but this is uncovered seating. There is also uncovered standing areas at the stadium.
The John Charles bar offers refreshments.
What to do while in Aberystwyth:
Aberystwyth Castle:
Aberystwyth Castle was originally constructed from wood in the 13th century but later upgraded to stone. A settlement grew around the castle in the 14th century. In 1637 King Charles I declared the castle a Royal Mint with the purpose of making coins.
Today you can freely explore the castle ruins with views of the seafront.
Aberystwyth Cliff Railway
Enjoy a ride on Britain's longest Electric funicular railway to the top of Constitution Hill. From the summit you can enjoy panoramic views of the bay and beyond. The railway is currently out of season so runs a limited timetable so check their website for times.
How to get there:
Car:
Head north from Briton Ferry, generally following the A48/M4 towards Swansea, then take the A483/A40 towards Carmarthen, and continue on the A487 northwards through the beautiful Ceredigion coast.
Train/Bus:
There are no direct train routes the best option for public transport is train and bus combination.
Take the train from Neath to Carmarthen and then change at Carmarthen to the T1 TransCymru bus from Carmarthen bus station to Aberystwyth.
