Another away day for Briton Ferry Llansawel this Sunday as we head to Pontypridd United's USW Sports Park.

From The Manager:
Sunday will see the Reds head to USW Sports Park to face Pontypridd United. Last weekend Pontypridd’s game with Swansea City was abandoned due to heavy rain. Given the match was goalless at the time, with Swansea down to ten players we asked Reds Manager Rhys Thomas if that could make them more of a treat this Sunday.

"I don't think the abandonment of Pontypridd’s game last week necessarily makes them more of a threat this Sunday.
“They’re a strong side with a clear goal threat, and that’s something we’re well aware of.
“We’ll need to be at our best to put in a strong performance and bring home the three points."
After what has been a tough start to the season for the Reds, two defeats so far, albeit against very tough opponents. Wrexham on the opening day and champions Cardiff City last weekend.
Thomas fully believes that the players are determined to bounce back strongly.
"After the first two games, we're really keen to bounce back with a win on Sunday.
“It’s been a tough start in terms of fixtures and having key players unavailable.
“We understand the challenge and we’re determined to produce a better performance and ultimately one that’s deserving of a win"
Ferry Flashback:
Ferry’s last league meeting with Pontypridd came in the 2020/2021 season in the Welsh Women’s Premier League. The match saw the Reds win by a single goal scored by Lucy Powell after seven minutes.

The club have been active in bringing in new signings with former Galiwa United left back Megan Phillips joining the Dragons. Mali Ackerman has joined from Cardiff City along with former Red Catryn Edwards.
This season Pontypridd lost their opening league match 2-0 to Aberystwyth Town. Molden Gwynne and former Ponty player Carys Bufton with the goals for Aber. Their last match against Swansea was abandoned with the score at 0-0 due to the heavy rain across south Wales last week.
The last meeting between the two sides came in the 2021/2022 Welsh Women’s Cup and saw Pontypridd go though at Old Road in a penalty shootout.
