A return to the Road this Sunday as the Reds are back in Adran Premier action this Sunday.  The New Saints are the visitors to The Renewable Centre Stadium and manager Rhys Thomas says it will be nice to be back at home this weekend after two away games.  Thomas continued,

“Playing on your own pitch, with the support behind you can definitely give the players a bit of a lift.”

“But we know we are up against a very strong TNS side.

“They’ve got quality and they’ll make it difficult but we’ll focus on ourselves to make sure we give another good account of ourselves this weekend."

The Reds picked up their first win of the season last weekend with a 4-0 win over Pontypridd United.  Thomas now looking to build on that result saying,

“It was a really good result for us, and one we can take confidence from.

“We were very pleased with the performance, we looked solid, took our chances in the second half and managed the game properly.

“It’s important we carry that momentum into this weekend because we know we’ve got a tough challenge ahead."

Flashback: Briton Ferry Llansawel 2-2 The New Saints - 2/2/2025

With the two side battling up the top of the table in February The New Saints came to The Renewable Centre Stadium looking to not only gain a victory but keep themselves in the title race.

A tight contest ensued with both teams battling to take control of the game.  The first half saw chances from Maia Owen and Alison Witts for the Reds.  The first goal of the match came in first half added time when Laura-May Walkley was fouled in the box allowing Lucy Powell to give the Reds the lead.

The second half saw the continuation of the tight contest but on the hour mark Walkley was shown a second yellow and sent off.  With ten players Ferry were pushed back as TNS looked to take advantage.  On the 70 minute mark Lexi Jones equalised and then after 80 minutes Jones made it 2-1.  With 96 minutes on the clock Jess Denscombe sent a ball though the TNs defence which Meg Kearle read perfectly and found herself in on goal.  Kearle fired past the TNS keeper to secure the Reds a late point.
