Briton Ferry began the year with a win as they saw off Caldicot Town 3-0 in the Genero Adran South at Old Road.

The visitors sat deep and narrow and were able to frustrate the reds for long periods of the half.  It took 40 minutes for the hosts to make break the Caldicot resistance when Laura-May Walkley got the only goal of the half.

The Reds quickened the tempo of the game in the second half and create lots of chances.  Witts and Walkley combining for the second goal in the 65th minute before Lowri Baker added the third in the 73rd minute.  Baker then hit the crossbar late on as the Reds looked to seal the game.
