TNS snatched victory in the Adran Trophy semi-final when Chantelle Teare struck in added time.
The New Saints began fast and tried to make use of the large pitch at Park Hall. After settling into the game the Reds started to pressure the Saints. Maia Owen was fouled and Lucy Powell tucked away the penalty to put Ferry ahead. Just before half an hour the Reds were two up thanks to Maia Owens subline finish. After some late pressure the Reds were able to go into half time leading.
TNS began the second half well and put the Reds under pressure from the off. Courtney Young making two good saves in the early minutes of the half. The host’s pilled on the pressure and hit three goals late on to take victory.
The Reds then won a free kick on the edge of the TNS box. Alison Witts tried to curl it in but her effort went wide.

Lucy Powell sent a cross into the box and Alison Witts was brought down by the keeper. Lucy Powell stepped up and coolly rolled the ball under the Saints keeper.
TNS made another attack into the box but Llewellyn made a superb tackle to deny them a chance. From the corner the hosts were able to get a header at goal but Jess Denscombe headed clear.
Anya Welch drove forward and found a pass to Fleur Jenkins. Jenkins played a clear ball though the defence but Maia Owen was beaten to it.
A good spell of pressure saw the Reds take a 2-0 lead. Tija Richardson made her way to the by-line and her cross was put out for a corner. Lucy Powell sent the ball in and at the back post Maia Owen hit a overhead kick into the goal.
Just before the break TNS had a chance to pull when back but the post denied them.
Half Time: The New Saints 0-2 Briton Ferry Llansawel
An early chance for TNS saw Teare latch on to a loose ball and took a shot at goal. Courtney Young diving to the left to push her effort to safety.
Young was then needed again to save from Teare at her near post. From the TNS corner they wanted a penalty when a shot was blocked by Llewellyn but the ref waved off their protests.
Helen Evans sent the ball into the box but only found the gloves of Young.
Lucy Powell had the Reds first chance as her shot from the left forced Rebecca Elliot into a save.
Then Jess Denscombe went down after a tough challenge and the host’s looked to take advantage. Sophie Phillips hitting a shot from distance but her effort went over the bar.

Lucy Powell’s cross was then cut out by the keeper as she look to find Alison Witts. The ball then went to Aimee Heath who’s shot was blocked on the edge of the box.
A though ball found Emily Ridge free in the box and she put the ball into the net.
TNS kept cranked up the pressure and found an equaliser thanks to a long rang effort from Maria Francis-Jones. With the game heading to penalties the Saints grabbed the winning goal in added time though Chantelle Teare.
